Devbhoomi : The Land Of Gods

I come from a place that is said to be the place where God resides. Surrounded by mountains and river valleys, Uttarakhand is believed to be the birthplace of the five Pandavas. It holds divine destinations like 5 Badri, 5 Prayag, 5 Kedar and 4 Dham.

The State is briefly divided into two parts, the Garhwal and the Kumaon. These parts further have subparts, and to surprise you all, each district under this part has a different language. I pm from tauri Garhwal, and my native language is Garhwali. The Garhwal region has districts like Pauri, Tehri, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Rudrpryag, Dehradun, Haridwar and Kumaon with Nainital, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Udham Singh Nagar and the beautiful Almora. The majorly spoken languages of Uttarakhand are Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari, while the other languages vary from place to place.

Holding a vast number of cultures and traditions, Devbhoomi gives the Indian Army two very strong Indian Army Regiments, The Garhwal Rifles and the most decorative regiment of the Indian Army, The Kumaoni Regiment.
